Almond Joy Cake

I love love love almond joy's and this is just like one big almond joy! And one big hit at Bunco parties! :D



Ingredients

18 ounces devil's food cake mix
12 ounces evaporated milk
2 1/2 cups sugar
25 marshmallows
14 ounces coconut
1/2 cup butter
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup almonds

Directions

1. Bake cake according to package instructions. ( It says cook in 9x13 pan but I have found that a 11 x 15 (5 qt) pan works A LOT better and in the end having everything fit in the pan).

2. In pan: Mix half of milk, 1 1/2 cup sugar. Bring to boil. Remove quickly.

3. Add: Marshmellows, mix until melted.

4. Stir in Coconut.

5. Pour over cake.

6. In pan: Combine the rest of the sugar and milk. Bring to boil.

7. Remove and add: butter and chocolate chips. Stir until melted.

8. Mix in almonds.

9. Pour over cake.

Jenna's Sugar Cookies~



Ingredients

1 1/2 cups butter flavored crisco (sticks)
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
6 cups flour


Directions

1. Cream crisco and sugar together.

2. Add the rest of the wet ingredients.

3. Add dry ingredients.

4. Chill for at least 15 min.  I get out a chunk at a time to roll out and cook. Chill between rolling out cookies.

5. Preheat 350 degrees.

6. Roll out cookies to about a quarter of an inch.

7. Bake for 8 min and check. If still really soft on the top put in for an extra 3 min and check again.

8. Cool and frost. Frosting recipe is below.




Frosting recipe
 This recipe is really sweet so if you don't like it that sweet you can add more butter. 



Ingredients

1/2 bag powdered sugar
3 tbls butter (or you can use the crisco you used for the cookies)
milk
1/2 tsp vanilla

 Directions

1. Mix all together. Add more sugar if mix is even a little too runny.
